You can add a new user to your team with their email address.
Before you begin
- Once added, the user will receive a time-limited activation email which they must use to complete their Elucidat registration. To learn more about the account activation process, see Activating your new Elucidat account. Your new Elucidat colleague might also find this article useful.
- The Elucidat User Management interface is shared by both Elucidat Author and Elucidat Create but each platform has its own user roles and access levels that need to be configured individually. To learn how to access the User Management page from each platform, see Accessing the User Management page.
- To add new users to your account, you must be an Administrator or be assigned a custom user role that has user management permissions.
Creating a new user
- In the Users section, select Add users.

Type the email address of the user you'd like to add in the Email Addresses field.
Tip: Separate multiple email addresses with a comma or a space to add multiple users at once. If you already have a list of users, for example in a CSV file, you can copy and paste the list here to speed this process up. - Configure the user’s role and access scope for each platform. The following options depend on which platforms your organization has access to.
- If your organization has access to both Elucidat Author and Create, you can set the user’s roles for both platforms separately.
- If your organization only has access to one of the platforms, only the configuration options for that platform will appear.
Elucidat Author
- Choose an Elucidat Author User Role from the User Role drop-down menu.
- Choose an Elucidat Author access scope from the Project access scope drop-down menu.

To grant access to Elucidat Create
Choose a User Role from the Elucidat Create User Role drop-down menu. For more information about the Elucidat Create user roles, see Understanding user roles and access levels. -
To disallow access to Elucidat Create
Select No access.
Sending the invitation
Select Send Invitation to send the new user an email invitation. The email will contain an activation link that they can use to confirm their details and create a password that they can use to log in.
