To log in and begin using Elucidat Author or Elucidat Create, you must receive an invitation from an existing Elucidat user.
Once your invitation has been sent, you‘ll receive an email with a unique activation link that allows you to access the platform and create your login details.
If you want to begin using Elucidat but haven‘t received an invitation, you‘ll need to speak to the administrator of your organization‘s Elucidat account and ask them to invite you to their team.
For security reasons, your activation link expires after 48 hours. If you follow the link and are unable to activate your account, the link may have expired. In this event, contact your account administrator. This is usually the person who invited you. They will be able to renew your activation and send you a new link.
If you‘re still having trouble, get in contact with support@elucidat.com who can investigate and help you further.
Activating your account and creating a password
- Open your email inbox and find your invitation email. The email will be sent from support@elucidat.com. If you can‘t see it, check your junk folder—your email client may automatically filter it.
- Select Activate Account to go to the Elucidat platform and continue the next steps.
- Provide your name in the First Name and Last Name fields. This name will be visible to others so make sure it is one that your colleagues can recognize.
- Type your chosen password in the Password field.
Your password for Elucidat must follow certain requirements. You can read more about our password requirements and advice for creating a strong password in Creating a secure password for your Elucidat account.
5. Agree to the License Agreement by selecting the check box.
6. Select Activate.
Your account is now active, and you can use your email and password to log in to the platform. You can access the log-in page directly by going to https://login.elucidat.com.
Choosing an Elucidat experience when you log in
Depending on which Elucidat features you have access to, you may be asked to choose which Elucidat experience you'd like to use when you log in.
There are two options:

Advanced design
Choosing this will take you to the Elucidat Author platform. -
Quick build
Choosing this will take you to the Elucidat Create platform.
Each platform is designed to offer a different building experience. See Overview of the Elucidat platforms for a summary of each.
If you have a preferred platform, enable Remember my choice at the bottom right of the screen before you choose your experience. Your selection will be remembered for you and you‘ll be taken directly to your preferred platform each time you log in.
This preference is stored as a cookie so you will need to clear your cookies if you would like the platform selection screen to appear again.
Overview of the Elucidat platforms
Elucidat Author
Choosing the Advanced design option will bring you to the Elucidat Author platform. Here, you can build more tailored elearning courses with more granular control over the course’s layout and configuration. You might find this option suitable if you already have some experience with learning design.
This is a great choice for creating courses that require more complexity and thought behind the building. You can start a course from scratch and build out the structure and content of the course yourself or use one of the faster building methods like Learning Accelerator Templates or the PowerPoint importer.
From there, you can create quizzes and use Rules to make branching scenarios and personalize the course to different types of learners. You have finer control over the layout of the course and have a wealth of options to style it exactly how you like.

Elucidat Create
Choosing Quick build will bring you to the Elucidat Create platform.
Elucidat Create is perfect for those who want to create professional-looking content but don't have much experience with learning design. It is also an excellent choice for those who need to build content quickly.
Its modular design makes it easy to copy and paste course elements between pages and even other Projects. Create also offers flexible Project version control so you can also experiment with your builds much more freely. For more information, see What is Elucidat Create?.
