SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions

After a successful beta testing period, SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions are now supported SCORM release formats.

Most LMSs offer different levels of support for each SCORM version—some provide full support, some only support a specific edition. With this update, you'll be able to release your Elucidat courses in all existing SCORM formats, allowing you to choose the format(s) that work best with your LMS.

To learn how to export your course in the new SCORM format, see Applying the correct tracking mode to your course.

For a full list of our supported elearning formats, see Available elearning standards to export from Elucidat.

xAPI labelling

We have enabled xAPI labelling for all accounts, allowing you to add additional context to your question data.

If you've used xAPI tracking in your courses, you may know that it can sometimes be difficult to tell which question an xAPI statement refers to—especially when there’s more than one question on a page or multiple similarly named pages in your course.

Adding titles or custom tags with xAPI labelling allows you add additional data to your questions to identify things like the learning topics they belong to, the competencies they assess, or the subject matter they cover. This can help you identify trends more easily in your data, allowing you to see where your learners might be struggling or where they are performing well.

Previously, xAPI labelling was only available on request, but now we are including it as standard for all customers.

For more information, see Using xAPI labelling to give context to your question data.

Note: These release notes focus on major new features, improvements, and bug fixes that users will experience directly. Unlike a detailed changelog which lists all technical changes, these notes highlight the most important updates.

Our team is constantly working on essential background improvements, including backend systems, infrastructure, and preparation for future features. While this parallel work is not listed here, it is strategically planned and executed alongside the visible improvements described in these notes.
