When you’ve been invited into an Elucidat account, you’ll receive an email prompting you to activate your account. This is where you can create the password you use to log in to the platform.
Here are some requirements and recommendations that can help you create a secure password for your Elucidat account:
- Your password should be a minimum of 11 characters.
- While it is not required, we strongly recommend using a mixture of letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Dictionary words will not be accepted. For example, while ‘abbreviated’ is an 11-letter word, it will not be accepted as a password.
- We also check passwords against a database of known passwords (i.e. passwords that have been hacked previously and are available online), as well as common words of password combinations which may seem secure but are more likely to be easier to guess or hack.
If your chosen password fails to pass these checks, it will be flagged as Not Secure!
If this happens, you’ll need to choose a different password.
If you’re having trouble deciding on a password, we’d recommend using a tool such as LastPass or an online service like the Norton Password Generator that can create a strong password for you.
