Interaction type - Flipcards

Using a Flipcard can be an effective way to pose a question to your learner and have them interact with the page to reveal the answer, along with further information. We've included an example below.

Adding a Flipcard

1. Open the page in your course where you would like to add the Flipcard.

2. In Layout, navigate to the position on the page where you would like to add the Flipcard and click the Add here button.

3. Select Interactions:

4. Select Flipcard:

5. The Flipcard will be added to the page.  Click the Save button to save the changes.

 

Flipcard Settings

In Layout, the settings for the Flipcard can be found by clicking on the variations menu on the top right of the interaction:blobid3.png

Under Variations you will find the option to edit the Button alignment:

This option allows you to edit where on the Flipcard the Flip button is aligned.

In Author, the content of the Flipcard can be edited. Click the Flip button to alternate between the front and back of the card:

Flipcard example

Here is a typical example of how a Flipcard is often used in courses. This example shows how a Flipcard can be used to describe a company's aims. In Preview, the front of the Flipcard is displayed:

The learner then clicks on the flip button to flip the card over to reveal the contents on the back:
