Working with folders in the Asset Library

Folders in the Asset Library are a useful tool to help organise and easily access all media uploaded to your projects.

Adding a Folder to the Asset Library

1. Go to the Asset Library tab:

2. Under the Folders heading on the left hand side of the page, navigate to the department where you want to create a folder.

3. Right click on the department and select Create folder:

4. Enter the name of your new folder and click the Save changes button:

5. Your new folder is now added to the department.

Assigning media to a folder in the Asset Library

1. Go to the Asset Library tab.

2. Locate the image or video you want to add to a folder.

3. Click Select a folder:

4. Select the folder you wish to add that image or video to:

5. The image or video can now be accessed via the folder in the Asset Library.

Tip: To remove an Asset from a folder in the Asset library, navigate to the video or image file and click the small cross on the folder tag.

 

Renaming and Deleting Folders in the Asset Library

1. Go to the Asset Library tab.

2. Navigate to the folder you would like to edit or remove.

3. Right click on the folder, then:

— To rename the folder, select Rename:

— Type in the new folder name and click the Save changes button:

Note: All Assets in the original folder will appear in the new folder with the updated folder name.

 

— To delete the folder, select Delete:

— Click the Yes - permanently delete button.

 

Caution: Any subfolders within the deleted folder will also be deleted. All Assets within the deleted folder that aren’t in another folder will move to the default 'No folder' and be available for use by all users on the account.
