Checking a user's access to the Project Library

A user's access scope can be checked in the user management section of the Team page. You can also export a CSV report of your users that can be viewed in a spreadsheet or other document. You can find instructions in Downloading an Elucidat user report.

There are three access scopes that can be applied to a user that define which Projects they can access:

  • Access to all Departments and Projects
  • Access to specific Departments
  • Access to specific Projects only

To learn more about these and how they work, see Understanding access scopes.

Checking a user's access scope

1. Go to Team

2. Select Users from the toolbar

3. Find the user whose permissions you wish to check—scroll down the list of users or narrow down your search using the filters and search field

4. Check the Departments and access column to see the user's access scope:

Note: Unlike Specific Projects only and All Departments and Projects, users with Access to specific Departments will show the Department names they have access to in place of the access scope label.

Checking the permissions of a User Role

1. Check the Elucidat Author Role to see the user's role

2. Follow the instructions in Checking the permissions included in a User Role to see what actions that user role can perform
