There are two ways to link to different pages in your project. Which would you like to try?

Using the link button Linking in text

Using the Link control

Many items in Elucidat have ‘Link’ controls on them, for example our ‘Menu’ Page types and Parts:

Please note that you cannot link to pages beyond locked pages where you have the ‘Prevent progress until complete’ setting applied in ‘Page settings’, click here for more information on this.

If you choose the option ‘Not set’ on an object within the main content of your page clicking this element will not have any effect:

If you choose the option ‘Not set’ on an object within a pop up, clicking this element will close your pop up.

Hiding a button that uses a ‘Link’ control

Link controls can be set to be hidden if they link to a page that is not currently available in the course (pages might not be available if Page locking is on or if there are Rules in place that hide the page).

You can toggle this behaviour on and off with this control:

To add a link to your text

Double click the text you would like to add your link to and select ‘Insert link’ from the dropdown.

The ‘Insert Link’ menu will open:

From here you can either select a page in your project using the dropdown (Link to page) or add a URL to link to an external website (Link to URL).

To add a link to an area of your Page

Click the element that you would like to use to link to an area of your page.

Click ‘Link’ and then choose the ‘Another part of this page’ option:

From the dropdown you can select any Header in your page to link to, this can be a Project Title, Page Title or header 3, header 4, header 5 or header 6 text.
