There are two ways to link to different pages in your project. Which would you like to try?

Using the link button Linking in text

Using the Link control

Many items in Elucidat have ‘Link’ controls on them, for example the next/back buttons and buttons in ‘Menu’ page types.

Link controls are useful for creating menus or for creating non linear courses, click here to see an example of a non linear course built using the ‘Link’ control.

This video will show you how to use these:

Please note that you cannot link to pages beyond locked pages where you have the ‘Prevent progress until complete’ setting applied in ‘Page settings’, click here for more information on this.

Hiding a button that uses link control

Link controls can be set to be hidden if they link to a page that is not currently available in the course (pages might not be available if Page locking is on or if there are Rules in place that hide the page).

You can toggle this behaviour on and off with this control:

To add a link to your text

Double click the text you would like to add your link to and select ‘Insert link’ from the dropdown.

The ‘Insert Link’ menu will open:

From here you can either select a page in your project using the dropdown (Link to page) or add a URL to link to an external website (Link to URL).
